2012-02-28 15:45:35 -- San Diego -- The look and feel of the checkout uses a shared color scheme, not your store theme palette. DON'T PANIC! Read on. This was done for a reason. The layout uses styles/classes set from a popular shared library called 'jquery ui'. This library is going to be used widely both in our user interface and your storefronts going forward, so it made sense to adopt it now.

JQuery ui themes are customizable and our design team can take care of getting the new checkout layout to match your store. Having this done now means that as we roll out new features, they'll look great in your store. Although the default jquery-ui looks "good" in most stores.

In addition to passive, we've deployed an updated version of the 'nice' layout which also uses the JQuery UI theme as well as a newer version of our own ajax library.
